Today, you will know the list of adjectives in Arabic. I will show you the singular and plural form of these adjectives.

I wrote the adjectives and sentence examples in Arabic, then I translated them into English.

List of adjectives in Arabic and English


Before showing you the list, I will explain to you the writing method.

The first word will be a singular form and the second one will be a plural form. Then there will be a translation in English. Finally, I write the sentence example in Arabic with English translation.

1. Singular :  بَخِيْلٌ (bakhiilun)
Plural : بُخَلاَءُ
Meaning : stingy

Sentence example: هُوَ بَخِيْلٌ
Meaning: He is stingy.


2. جَاهِلٌ  (jaahilun)
جُهَلاَءُ (juhalaa-u)
ignorant

أَنَا لاَ أُحِبُّ رَجُلًا جَاهِلًا
I don't like an ignorant man.


3. جَمِيْلٌ (jamiilun)
جَمِيْلُونَ (jamiiluuna) or جُمَلَاءُ (jumalaa-u)
 beautiful; good-looking; handsome

أَحْمَدُ جَمِيْلٌ
Ahmad is handsome.


4. حَاضِرٌ (ḥaaḍirun)
حَاضِرُوْنَ (ḥaaḍiruuna)
present; attending

أَحَاضِرٌ أَنْتَ أَمْ غَائِبٌ؟
Are you present or absent?


5. أَمِيْنٌ (amiinun)
أُمَنَاءُ (umanaa-u)
honest

محَمَّدٌ رَجُلٌ أَمِيْنٌ
Muhammad is an honest man.
