1. The doctor examines the patient.
يَفْحَصُ الطَّبِيْبُ المَرِيْضَ

- يَفْحَصُ : fi'l mudari' (فعل المضارع) or verb

- الطَّبِيْبُ : fa'il (فَاعِل) or doer. It is in nominative case (مَرْفُوع), the sign of the rafa' is dammah "u"

- المَرِيْضَ : maf'ul bih (مفعول به) or object. It is in accusative case (مَنْصُوب), the sign of the nasb is fat-hah "a"


2. The patient takes the medicine.
يَتَنَاوَلُ المَرِيْضُ الدَّوَاءَ

- يَتَنَاوَلُ : fi'l mudari'

- المَرِيْضُ : fa'il marfu', the sign of the rafa' is dammah "u"

- الدَّوَاءَ: maf'ul bih mansub, the sign of the nasb is fat-hah "a"


3. The doctor holds the stethoscope.
يُمْسِكُ الطَّبِيْبُ السَّمَّاعَةَ

- يُمْسِكُ : fi'l mudari'

- الطَّبِيْبُ : fa'il marfu', the sign/indication of the rafa' is dammah "u"

- السَّمَّاعَةَ : maf'ul bih mansub, the sign of the nasb is fat-hah "a"


4. The patient sleeps on the bed.
يَنَامُ المَرِيْضُ عَلَى السَّرِيْرِ

- يَنَامُ : fi'l mudari'

- المَرِيْضُ : fa'il marfu', the sign of the rafa' is dammah "u"

- عَلَى : harf jar

- السَّرِيْرِ : ism majrur because of har jar "عَلَى", the sign of the jar is kasrah "i"
