Quran Vocabulary List From Surah al-Fatihah:2
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
A word by word translation
1. الحَمْدُ : praise
In this context, the meaning of الحَمْدُ is "all praises and thanks"
حَمْدٌ is اسْم (noun), It is masdar of the verb "حَمِدَ"
So, root verb of حَمْدٌ is حَمِدَ.
حَمِدَ is fi'l madi (الفعل الماضي), the fi'l mudari (الفعل المضارع) is يَحْمَدُ

a. fi'l madi: حَمِدَ (praised)
b. fi'l mudari: يَحْمَدُ (praise)
c. masdar: حَمْدًا (praise)
d. fa'il: حَامِدٌ (praiser)

3. اللّه : Allah
harf jar ل is no meaning, but when it is connected to a word, in this case "اللّه" , the meaning is "to".
So لِلَّهِ means "to Allah"; "belonging to Allah".
Finally, الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ means "Praise be to Allah" or "All praises (thanks) due to Allah"
4. رَبُّ : Lord; God; Rabb
5. عَالَمِينَ : all that exists; worlds; universe
عَالَمِينَ is in genitive case because it is mudaf ilaih. The nominative case of عَالَمِينَ is "عَالَمُونَ"
عَالَمُونَ is plural noun, the singular form of عَالَمُونَ is "عَالَمٌ"
Conclusion
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ means "All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds" or "All praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the universe".
