Sentence structure and word by word translation

Let's examine all the examples, start from the first sentence.

1. لَيْسَ سَهْلًا عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَنْسَاهَا

- لَيْسَ, it means "not"

لَيْسَ  is fi'l madi naqis.

لَيْسَ  makes mubtada into nominative case (marfu'), and khabar into accusative case (mansub).

- سَهْلًا means "easy"

سَهْلًا is in accusative case (mansub) because it is khabar laysa.

- عَلَيَّ means "for me"

عَلَيَّ is composed from عَلَى and ي

عَلَى  means on (in this case, the meaning of عَلَى  is for)

ي is damir muttasil for 1nd person and singular, the meaning is me.

- أَنْ is harf masdariyyah.

أَنْ  makes fi'l mudari is in accusative case (mansub)

- أَنْسَاهَا means forget her.

أَنْسَاهَا is composed of أَنْسَى and هَا

أَنْسَى means forget.

هَا is damir muttasil, the meaning is her.

2. لَيْسَ سَهْلًا عَلَيَّ مَسْحُ الذِّكْرَيَاتِ مَعَهُ

لَيْسَ سَهْلًا عَلَيَّ has the same meaning and explanation as point number 1.

- مَسْحُ means erase

The root verb of  مَسْحٌ is مَسَحَ - يَمْسَحُ

مَسْحُ is mudaf.

- الذِّكْرَيَاتِ means memories

الذِّكْرَيَاتِ is mudaf ilaih, majrur, the indication of the jar is kasrah "i"

ذِكْرَيَاتٌ is plural form.

The singular form of ذِكْرَيَاتٌ is ذِكْرَى

ذِكْرَى means memory.

So, the idafah form مَسْحُ الذِّكْرَيَاتِ  means  erase the memories.

- مَعَهُ means with him

مَعَهُ is composed of  the words مَعَ  and هُ

مَعَ means with.

هُ is damir muttasil for 3rd person, masculine, singular. It means him.

3. لَيْسَ سَهْلاً عَلَى مَرْيَمَ أَنْ تَعْفُوَ أَحْمَدَ

لَيْسَ سَهْلًا عَلَيَّ has the same meaning and explanation as point number 1.

- مَرْيَمَ = Maryam

- تَعْفُو = forgive

-  أَحْمَدَ = Ahmad

So, the complete meaning is => It is not easy for Maryam to forgive Ahmad.
