Watch the video carefully.
From text that we've watched in the video above, we learn the following things:
1. When do you use demonstrative pronoun hadha (هذا)?
Demonstrative pronoun (ism isharah) هَذَا (hadha) is used when you point singular and masculine noun.
2. When do you use هذه (hadhihi)?
Demonstrative pronoun (ism isharah) هذه (hadhihi) is used when you point singular and feminine noun.
Recap: هَذِهِ is feminine of هَذَا
3. How do you change a masculine noun to become a feminine one?
Before showing you the step to change masculine noun to feminine, I'll show you the basic rule. Read carefully the rule below.
Basic rule of a noun
— All nouns are either masculine or feminine.
— Feminine nouns usually have the ة ending.
Step to change masculine to become feminine noun
— Add the ة ending
— The harakat of one letter before ة becomes fat-hah "a".
Example:
جَدِيْدٌ (jadiidun).
⇒ Add ة , so it will become جَدِيدةٌ
⇒ Change harakat of "د" to fat-hah, so it will become جَدِيْدَةٌ (jadiidatun).
Recap: A noun is made feminine by adding ta marbutah "ة" at the end
4. Agreement between mubtada and khabar
— If mubtada is masculine singular, the khabar is also masculine singular.
— If mubtada is feminine singular, the khabar is also feminine singular.
and so on.
Recap: There is an agreement between mubtada and khabar in terms of gender and number.
Preposition لِ
Watch the 2nd video carefully.
From the video above, we learn the following things:
1. لِ means for or belong to
Special note: a noun after preposition ل is in genitive case or majrur.
2. There are some nouns that are feminine, although they are not ended with ta marbutah "ة"
In this lesson, we study only two words, they are قِدْرٌ (pot) and شَمْسٌ (sun).
Double member of the body is feminine
This is the last section of chapter 6. Watch the video carefully.
From the video, we learn the following things:
1. The double member of the body is feminine noun
The double member of the body, such as: eye (عَيْنٌ), foot (رِجْلٌ), etc. is a feminine noun.
Therefore, you notice in the durusul lughah book 1 chapter 6, هَذِهِ is used to point عَيْنٌ
