There are some quantifiers in English, such as : all, any, some, one of , etc.
Today we are going to learn those noun quantifiers in Arabic.
Noun quantifiers in Arabic Examples
1. كُلُّ means all; every; each
a. When كُلُّ is annexed to undefined noun (اسم النكرة), it means each; every.
Examples :
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ (every person)
كُلُّ يَوْمٍ (every day)
كُلُّ دَرْسٍ (every lesson)
b. When كُلُّ is annexed to a defined noun (اسم المعرفة), it means all; whole.
Examples :
كُلُّ الحَقِيْقَةِ (the whole facts)
كُلُّ الطَّالِبِ (all the student; the whole student)
كُلُّ الغُرْفَةِ (the whole room)
2. بَعْضٌ means one of; some of
Examples :
- فِي بَعْضِ الأَوْقَاتِ = sometimes
- بَعْضُ الأَسَاتِذَةِ = some teachers
- بَعْضُ المُدَرِّسِيْنَ = one of teachers; some of teachers
3. أحَدٌ means one (for masculine noun)
إِحْدَى means one (for feminine noun).
Examples :
أَحَدُ الوُزَرَاءِ = one of the ministers
إِحْدَى النِّسَاءِ =one of the women
4. أَيٌّ means any (for masculine noun)
أَيَّةُ means any (for feminine noun).
Examples :
أَيُّ رَجُلٍ = any man; which man
أَيَّةُ مَرْأَةٍ = any woman; which woman
