Brother and Sister, today we are going to learn kinds of words in Arabic.

Now, we will continue the next lesson, more explanation about three kinds of the word, such as characteristics of them, more examples, etc.
a. Word in Arabic is الْكَلِمَةُ
b. The definition of a word in Arabic.
Word is a unit of spoken/written language.
c. 3 Kinds of words.
There are three kinds of words, they are:
1. Noun: الْإِسْمُ
2. Verb: الْفِعْلُ
3. Particle: الْحَرْفُ
d. The definition of a noun.
Noun ( الْإِسْمُ ) is the name of a thing, such as people, animal, place, etc.
Examples:
أَحْمَدُ = Ahmad (person's name).
مَسْجِدٌ = mosque (thing).
قِطٌّ = cat (animal).
مَكَّةَ = mecca (place).
e. The definition of a verb.
Verb ( الْفِعْلُ ) is a representation an action in the past, present, or future.
Examples:
كَتَبَ = he wrote.
يَكْتُبُ = he writes / he is writing.
سَيَكْتُبُ = he will write.
f. The definition of a particle.
Particle ( الْحَرْفُ ) is a word that doesn't convey complete meaning when it stands alone.
When does it convey the complete meaning? Only when it is used with a noun or a verb.
Examples:
مِنْ = from
إِلَى = to
a. Nouns are divided into two kinds:
1. Indefinite noun: النَّكِرَةُ
2. Definite noun: الْمَعْرِفَةُ
b. The definition of Indefinite noun.
Indefinite noun ( النَّكِرَةُ ) is a name given in general to a thing (both living or non-living thing), we can call it a common noun.
Examples:
جَبَلٌ = a mountain (non-living thing).
فَلاَّحٌ = a farmer (living thing).
c. The definition of a definite noun.
Definite noun ( الْمَعْرِفَةُ ) is proper name given to a certain person, certain object, or certain place.
Examples:
مُحَمَّدٌ = Muhammad (certain person).
الْجَبَلُ = the mountain.

Verb (الْفِعْلُ) is an action word which is related to time, they are past, present, and future.
b. Kinds of verbs
There are two types of verbs based on the relation of time, they are:
1. Past tense: الْفِعْلُ الْمَضِى
Past tense is the action has been completed.
Examples:
فَتَحَ = he opened.
2. Present tense : الْفِعْلُ الْمُضَارِعُ
Present tense (imperfect tense) is the action has not completed (incomplete). It means the action is being done in the present or will be done in the future.
Examples:
يَفْتَحُ = he opens.
c. Imperative verb ( الْفِعْلُ الْأَمْرُ)
The imperative verb is the command form of a verb (both direct command and indirect command).
Examples:
إِشْرَبْ = drink.
قُلْ = say.

3 Kinds of Words in Arabic
