Today, we are going to learn some Arabic verbs which are related to the daily activities in the home.
I will include several Arabic sentence examples with English translation. By reading the examples, you will understand the vocabularies and easy to memorize them.
I will write fi'l madi (فعل المضي), fi'l mudari (فعل المضارع), fi'l amr (فعل الأمر) respectively.
1. فَتَحَ - يَفْتَحُ - اِفْتَحْ (fataha - yaftahu - iftah): open
Sentence example:
أَحْمَدُ يَفْتَحُ البَابَ عَلَى مِصْرَاعَيْهِ
The meaning: Ahmad opens the door wide.
2. غَلَقَ - يَغْلِقُ - اِغْلِقْ : close
Sentence example:
اِغْلِقِ البّابَ يَا أَحْمَدُ
The meaning: Close the door, Ahmad!
3. جَاءَ - يَجِيءُ - جِئْ : come
Sentence example:
جَاءَ أَبِي إِلَى البَيْتِ فِي الوَقْتِ المنُاَسِبِ
The meaning: My father came into the house at the right time.
4. خَرَجَ - يَخْرُجُ - اُخْرُجْ : go out
Sentence example:
زَيْدٌ خَرَجَ مَعَ أَصْدِقَائِهِ
The meaning: Zaid went out with his friends.
5. ذَهَبَ - يَذْهَبُ - اِذْهَبْ : go
Sentence example:
أُمِّي تَذْهَبُ إِلَى السُّوقِ
The meaning: My mother goes to the market.
6. شَاهَدَ - يُشَاهِدُ - شَاهِدْ : watch
Sentence example:
نُشَاهِدَ مُسَلْسَلًا تِلِفِزْيُونِيًّا فِي بَيْتِنَا
The meaning: We watch a TV series at home.
7. اِسْتَيْقَظَ - يَسْتَيْقِظُ - اِسْتَيْقِظْ : wake up
Sentence example:
يَسْتَيْقِظُ أَحْمَدُ مُبَكِّرًا فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ
The meaning: Ahmad wakes up early every day.
8. اِغْتَسَلَ - يَغْتَسِلُ - اِغْتَسِلْ : take a bath
زَيْدٌ يَغْتَسِلُ مَرَّتَانِ فِي اليَوْمِ
The meaning: Zaid takes a bath twice a day.
نَامَ (naama), means slept.
يَنَامُ (yanaamu) means sleep.
أَكَلَ (akala) = ate.
يَأْكُلُ (ya'kulu) = eat.
شَرِبَ (shariba) = drank.
يَشْرَبُ (yashrabu) = drink.
طَبَخَ ( țabakha ) = cooked.
يَطْبُخُ ( yațbukhu ) = cook.
غَسَلَ ( ghasala ) = cleaned.
يَغْسِلُ ( yaghsilu ) = clean.
عَمِلَ ('amila) = worked.
يَعْمَلُ (ya'malu) = work.
1. نَامَ الطِّفْلُ عَلَى السَّرِيْرِ
naama aț-țiflu 'alaa as-sariiri.
The meaning: The child slept on the bed.
2. يَنَامُ أَبِيْ فِي غُرْفَةِ النَّوْمِ
yanaamu abii fii ghurfati an-nawmi.
The meaning in English: My father is sleeping in the bedroom.
3. أكَلَ أَحْمَدُ الخُبْزَ
akala Ahmadu al-khubza
The meaning: Ahmad ate the bread.
4. يَأْكُلُ أَبِيْ الْفَطِيْرَةَ
ya'kulu abii al-fațiirata.
The meaning: My father eats the pie.
5. يَشْرَبُ الوَلَدُ اللَّبَنَ
yashrabu al-waladu al-labana
The meaning: The boy drinks the milk.
6. شَرِبَ مُحَمَّدٌ الْعَصِيْرَ
shariba Muhammadun al-'aṣiira.
The meaning: Muhammad drank the juice.
7. تَغْسِلُ الأُمُّ الْمَلاَبِسَ
taghsilu al-ummu al-malaabisa.
The meaning: The mother is cleaning the clothes.
8. تَطْبُخُ الأُمِّيْ الطَّعَامَ
taṭbukhu al-ummii aṭ-ṭa'aama.
The meaning: My mother cooks the food.
9. يَعْمَلُ أَبِيْ فِيْ الْبَيْتِيْ
ya'malu abii fii al-baytii.
The meaning: My father works in my home.
1. طِفْلٌ (ṭiflun), means child.
2. سَرِيْرٌ (sariirun), means bed.
3. غُرْفَةُ النَّوْمِ (ghurfatu an-nawmi), means bedroom.
4. خُبْزٌ (khubzun), means bread.
5. فَطِيْرَةٌ (faaṭiiratun), means pie.
6. وَلَدٌ (waladun), means child.
7. أَبٌ (abun), means father.
8. أُمٌّ (ummun), means mother.
9. لَبَنٌ (labanun), means milk.
10. عَصِيْرٌ ('aṣiirun), means juice.
11. مَلاَبِسُ (malaabisu), means clothes.
12. طَعَامٌ (ța'aamun), means food.
13. بَيْتٌ (baytun), means house or home.

Verbs in Arabic Examples with Meaning

i think laban means yogurt not milk
